What to Expect at Your Extension Consultation & Install

Hair Guide · Scottsdale, Arizona
Quick answer: Extensions take two visits: a short consultation (color match, method, amount of hair, quote) and then your install, once the hair is ready. After that you'll book move-ups every 6–8 weeks (wefts, tape-ins) or a new install about every 3–4 months (K-tips).

1. Consultation

Come with your hair dry, styled the way you usually wear it, and with photos of your goal. Your stylist checks your hair's density and condition, matches the extension color, recommends a method, and gives you a quote. If you also want color, plan it here so your roots and extensions match.

2. Install day

Plan for a few hours. Come with clean, dry hair with no oils or heavy products (your stylist may ask you to wash the day before). Your stylist installs, blends, and cuts the extensions into your hair, then shows you how to brush, wash and sleep with them.

3. The first week

Extensions can feel snug for a few days — that's normal. Follow your stylist's first-wash timing and call or text us at 480-605-2148 if anything feels painful or pulls.

4. Maintenance

Book your first move-up before you leave, so you get the time you want. See what a move-up is.

Common questions

How long does an extension consultation take?

Usually a short appointment — enough time to check your hair, color-match and plan.

Can I get extensions the same day as my consultation?

Usually not, since the hair is ordered and color-matched for you. Your stylist will let you know.
